What happens next
Before our first session, I offer a free 10-minute phone consultation, to get a sense of what brings you to therapy and to see if our diaries align (this step is not compulsory, and some people prefer to arrange a first session straight away).
In our first session (which is usually held online), I will ask you some questions to better understand what you are going through. We will explore your expectations and previous experiences of therapy, and we will get a sense of each other and whether we feel like a good fit. This session is charged at my normal fee.
If we decide to work together, I will send you some information via email about the location of the practice and confidentiality and data protection.
Finding the right therapist is central, and there is no pressure to continue working with me if it does not feel quite right for you. I may be able to recommend you other therapists, if that’s the case.
